MEETING:
The next meeting of the Toronto Computer Lawyers’ Group (TCLG) for
2008-2009 is being held on Thursday, November 20, 2008 from 12:00 noon
to 2:00 p.m., at Blake, Cassels & Graydon LLP,
TOPIC: Software as a
Service (SaaS) / Software + Services (S+S)
Mark Relph and Christine Ing
will discuss what Software as a Service (SaaS) and
Software + Services (S+S) are, and will identify and address some of the
business and legal considerations that businesses and their legal advisors
should consider if they are providing or purchasing SaaS
or S+S.

Christine Ing is a Consultant practising in
the Information Technology Group at Blake, Cassels
& Graydon LLP. Christine regularly
negotiates and drafts a broad range of commercial agreements involving
intellectual property, software and hardware, including development, licensing,
distribution, supply, hosting, confidentiality, technology transfer and joint
venture contracts. In recent years, Christine’s practice has focused on
complex technology development and licensing transactions, and on outsourcing
and application service provider relationships. Christine has an engineering
degree from the

Cost for lunch: ten dollars ($10) for members and students, twenty
dollars ($20) for non-members, payable at the meeting. Receipts will be
available. Cheques should be made payable to the Toronto Computer
Lawyers’ Group.
